Automation opportunity assessment

Is this workflow ready to automate?

This automation opportunity assessment uses six practical checks to show whether a workflow is ready, needs a small pilot or should be mapped first.

  2. 02

Can the people doing the work agree on the usual steps?

If each person describes a different process, map it before you automate it.

Can you measure the monthly volume and handling time?

A usable baseline lets you test whether the change pays for itself.

Questions

Questions people ask us

What does the assessment check?
Six things: whether the trigger is stable, whether anyone has measured the volume, where the exceptions sit, whether the systems can be reached, who owns the process and whether there is a baseline to measure against.
Do I have to share details about my business?
No. The questions are about the shape of the process rather than its content, and you do not need to describe what your business does or hand over any data.
Is it free?
Yes, and there is no email required to see your result. If you want a hand with what comes back, tell us and we will look at it.
What if I score badly?
Most processes fail at least one check the first time, and knowing which one is the point. A low score usually means map the process before automating it, which saves considerably more than it costs.
