What do we actually get from an AI consulting engagement?
The work is shaped around the issue you need to resolve. Depending on the task, you may receive findings, a decision record, an option comparison, a risk review, recommendations or an implementation brief. We agree what useful documentation looks like before the work begins.
How do you decide which AI ideas are worth doing?
Five questions: is there a measurable cost now, does the data exist and is it usable, can you tell when the output is wrong, who owns it afterwards, and what is the cost of being wrong. Most ideas fail on the second.
What if AI is not the answer for us?
Then you will get that in writing, and it happens reasonably often. The bottleneck is usually a process or a data problem, and spending on AI before fixing it makes the original problem more expensive.
How long does it take?
There is no set duration or standard consulting package. A focused decision may need one consultation, while a more complicated issue may need evidence review and several discussions. We agree the scope and useful output around the task.
Do you build what you recommend?
We can, and we will price the alternatives at the same time so you can see what we would earn from each. If the right answer is a product you buy, we will say so even though it means less work for us.
